Brian H. Clarke, LL.B.
Brian Clarke was admitted to practice in Barbados in 1986. His primary practice areas are commercial and property law.
Brian’s property law practice includes the provision of advice to both lenders and developers on hotel and resort property development as well as all aspects of residential estate projects.
Brian’s commercial law practice includes providing advice to bankers and other lenders particularly with respect to Government and private sector joint ventures. Brian has advised on the financing, construction, lease and maintenance of buildings traditionally owned, constructed, maintained and operated solely by Government, including police stations, and post offices.
Brian was commissioned as an officer in the Barbados Defence Force (Coast Guard Reserve) in 1983. He has prosecuted several courts martial for the Barbados Defence Force. Brian has also lectured on the legal aspects of internal security to members of the police and defence forces in the Caricom Regional Security System in courses run by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
Brian sits on the board of Directors of several local and offshore companies. He also is a member of the Income Tax Appeal Board, and the Barbados Defence Force Pensions Committee.
Brian is an avid swimmer and cyclist.
